Last Sunday, a woman preached at church.
In her sermon she spoke about how she always bakes when she’s stressed. She talked about cellulite and stretch marks. She talked about being a woman who used her body–imperfect as it may be–to glorify God.
I didn’t realize when I saw her take her place in the pulpit that I hadn’t heard a woman preach in 10 years. But when she started talking about the stretch marks, I realized:
I’ve been missing this.

I love this. Thank you.
Honestly, I can’t imagine going ten years without hearing a woman preach. Or a man, for that matter. I hope you hear another female preacher soon!
Anne, there are so many good women teachers/preachers out there that I can’t imagine limiting myself to hearing from men only. Unfortunately, I usually have to find their teaching/preaching on video or in books but it’s worth the effort!

P.S. My first post ever at Think Christian just went up (linked through my name here). It’s about the sex trade and its effect on families and communities.
I love your blog. But I am a tad partial since I also spell my Anne with an E. I HATE when people spell my name wrong which is ALL THE TIME!! 26 years later I have kinda gotten over it but I still cringe when I see it written wrong
Beth-Anne With An E–I love it! And thank you:)
